Prediction and Forecasting System for Optimizing the Supply Chain in Dairy Products aims at exploiting a plethora of internal and external data, related to products of MEVGAL, in order to facilitate an automated generation of a forecast value concerning the number of products that will have to be produced and will be sold.
The different processes that will be enabled through the utilization of the TERMINET platform will offer many different direct or indirect advantages for MEVGAL. Through the automation of the internal data flow, MEVGAL will be benefited through the exploitation of the establishment of IoT data sources that potentially could be used for other processes that take place on MEVGAL besides the TERMINET platform (i.e. Automatic update of the ERP system). Additionally, the establishment of an accurate forecast for both sales and production will result many advantages to MEVGAL as it will reduce storage times, will enable just in time and agile production and will reduce product wastes and product returns.
