University of Western Macedonia (UOWM) research activities include all aspects of computer science, including telecommunications systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence and also distributed systems disciplines. In particular, UOWM has presented a series of research results in recognised journal and venues in the field of computer communications, networking, telecommunications, software engineering, software security and network security. The university has rich experience in leading or participating in national, EU and international projects. In addition, UOWM coordinates the relevant with TERMINET H2020 projects: (a) H2020-DS-SC7-2017 (DS-07-2017), SPEAR: Secure and PrivatE smArt gRid and (b) H2020-LC-SC3-EE-2020-1 (LC-SC3-EC-4-2020), EVIDENT: bEhaVioral Insgihts anD Effective eNergy policy acTions. In the context of the TERMINET project, UOWM is the project coordinator responsible for its proper management. 

The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) founded in 2000 is one of the leading research centres in Greece and listed among the TOP-20 E.U. research institutions with the highest participation in competitive research grants. It is a legal entity governed by private law with non-profit status, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments.
CERTH has important scientific and technological achievements in many areas including: Energy, Environment, Industry, Mechatronics, Information & Communication, Transportation & Sustainable Mobility, Health, Agro-biotechnology, Smart farming, Safety & Security, as well as several cross-disciplinary scientific areas.

More than 700 people work at CERTH with the majority being scientists.  

Karolinska Institutet (KI) is one of the world’s leading medical universities, accounting for more than 40% of medical academic research in Sweden. The Health Informatics Centre (HIC) at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics works in the areas of clinical decision making, patient-centred information systems for collaborative care and patient e-services with special focus on usability and international health informatics standards.  The team on Medical INTeractions (MINT), which is part of HIC, focuses on technology-enhanced learning in medical education.
HIC currently participates in four additional H2020 projects, namely CUREX: seCUre and pRivate hEalth data eXchange; New SkyCare: Home monitoring of diabetes patients and patients with severe heart failure (EITHealth); X-eHealth : Exchanging Electronic Health Records in a common framework; and COVID-X: COVID eXponential Programme.

Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC) is the leading energy producer and retailer company in Greece with a total capacity of 12.2 GW and approximately 6.9 million customers across the country. The PPC Innovation Hub hosts the research centre and the central laboratories of PPC. The research activities lay in the areas of material technology, chemical engineering, smart grids, cybersecurity, unmanned air vehicles, Internet of Things, and next-generation networks. The PPC Innovation Hub is accredited according to ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 standards. PPC participates in TERMINET, aiming to leverage innovative technologies, like Predictive Analytics, Augmented Reality, and Digital Twins, to increase the efficiency of maintenance tasks in critical infrastructure.

AUTH research activities include all aspects of wired and wireless communications, including antenna design, microwave engineering, telecommunications systems and networks, wireless communications theory, wireless power transfer, wireless security, wireless caching, mobile edge computing, communications and signal processing for biomedical engineering and artificial intelligence (machine learning, evolutionary algorithms, and semantic web technologies). AUTH has presented several research results in peer-reviewed journals and venues in the field of wireless communications, networking, telecommunications, antenna design, microwave communications, computational intelligence, machine learning, and exposure assessment of electromagnetic radiation.  The members of AUTH are very active in terms of innovation.

Innovation Sprint Sprl is a Belgian SME founded in 2016 that offers edge technology solutions to the eHealth and Life Sciences business sectors, focusing on Big Data analytics & Artificial Intelligence on Real World Data. Founded over a century ago, the American Farm School (AFS) serves society by providing formal agricultural education, technical and professional training, outreach and consultancy, new product development, entrepreneurial support, innovation facilitation, demonstration farm services and applied research. The holistic approach and overall practical role of the institute is met through the operation of the two 145 hectare demonstration farms which are considered as “its living laboratory”. 
Operating as a boundary organization, AFS combines the long term experience in the education and training on the agrifood sector, transferring knowledge and knowhow to young scientist and farmers, with the valuable experience of an innovative farmer itself. For the accomplishment of its projects, the office uses all available AFS demonstration and research infrastructure, as well as a network of other collaborating farms that belong to farmers in the region and to the extended pool of our alumni.

inCITES Consulting is an SME company established in Luxembourg. It was founded on May 2013 and its main activities rely on telecommunications techno economics, regulatory economics and policies, demand forecasting, business and price modelling.​

Eight Bells (8BELLS) is an independent Research and Consulting company specializing in selected parts of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as well as in modelling and analysis for businesses, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. The company was established in 2016 by ICT researchers and market analysts pursuing the application of their research expertise and innovations in the ICT related arena.​ The main areas of research and technical expertise are customizable solutions that enhance modern communications relevant to the area of 5G Mobile Technology, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and management solutions for Cloud infrastructures. 

MEVGAL S.A. is a private company located in Northern Greece and ranks fourth among dairy industries in Greece. The firm produces and markets a full range of products such as milk, yogurts, and various types of soft, semi-hard and hard cheese. It operates in the heart of Macedonia, where 67% of Greece’s fresh milk is produced and collects the best raw milk from 504 farms in the region​. 620 highly qualified, technical and administrative staff take care every day, so that MEVGAL products reach thousands of families in Greece and in 35 countries around the world. Since 1950 the company produces more than 170 products, which became known for their certified high quality and nutritional value.

The Alma Mater Studiorum, the oldest university in the Western world, paves the way for innovation through an increasingly rich programme catalogue, cutting-edge research and a constant and increasingly broad international perspective. The activity of the University of Bologna in this project is conducted within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DISI) and, in specific, by the Mobile Middleware group.  The unit research activities span over the whole range of middleware-related disciplines, from embedded systems to cloud computing, from vehicular network applications to context-aware service and applications and from big data and stream processing to mobile crowdsensing and security management, only to name a few.

LOGOS RI is a multidisciplinary research organization which main scope is to translate innovative ideas into a project exploring cutting edge and visionary research topics as well as to translate last science and technological breakthroughs in proof of principle/concepts to address real-world needs. LOGOS aims also to support and speed up strategic innovation and product/service evolution in public and private sectors by providing in-depth analysis and reports and releasing technologies at prototype/beta release level. The organization addresses the topics on Resilience, Trust, Safety, Security and Sustainability in the context of Human Cyber Physical Systems.  The main activities include complex system design, quality-quantitative analysis, feasibility study, technology assessment, fast prototyping, critical system validation and automated testing, integrated risk analysis, multifactorial impact and sustainability assessment (e.g. PESTEL), and so forth.

Tecnalia Research and Innovation  is a private, non-for-profit, applied research centre of international excellence with a strong market orientation aiming at achieving the major impact in economic terms, through the innovation and technological development. TECNALIA is the largest private R+D+i entity in Spain and the 5th in Europe, with a staff of over 1,300 employees (280 PhDs) from 30 different nationalities, and an income of 108M€ in 2019.  European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics – aims to foster collaborative work within the European research community and to increase co-operation with European industry. Optinvent S.A. is a French company that designs and delivers display modules and AR glasses for next generation AR & Mobile applications. The company is shipping right now its ORA-2 Smart Glasses for enterprise and developers. ORA-2 is produced in Rennes France and shipped all around the world. The product is used for several industrial applications such as Logistic, Maintenance, Healthcare, etc. The company was founded in February 2007 and is based in Rennes, France. Optinvent concentrates on developing innovative optical technologies that it packages into Smart glasses hardware platform and display modules which in turn are sold to international OEM’s for integration into finished products. The company is targeting applications such as see-through AR glasses for professional applications. There are 32 granted international patents to protect the Optinvent’s Clear-Vu display technology. 

The i2CAT Foundation is a non-profit research and innovation center that promotes mission-driven R&D activities in advanced digital technologies. The center has more than 15 years of experience pursuing international and local R&D projects in the fields of 5G, IoT, VR and Immersive Technologies, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, AI and Digital Social Innovation. Founded in 1964, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS (FPG) is an academic medical center operating in all areas of health and clinical assistance and one of the most important and internationally acclaimed care providers in Italy. FPG provides healthcare to approximately 95,000 Inpatients and 250,000 outpatients per year and, in the framework of the Catholic University School of Medicine, trains doctors (more than 1000 Medical Doctors graduated in the last 5 years; approx. 400 visiting doctors, 850 residents and 270 Ph.D. degrees per year). Its operational model aims at integrating care processes and the hospital’s activities, which are currently managed by 7 Departments and 136 Operational Units. In 2018 FPG has obtained from the Italian Ministry of Health the status of IRCCS (Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico), a status granted to Excellency hospitals committed to healthcare and research.

Alteruna is a Swedish SME software company. It develops applications for training health care professionals in surgery and medical treatments, using gaming technology and virtual reality. The company focuses on team training and hand interaction in virtual worlds, especially the interaction between physical objects and their virtual equivalents. Alteruna will work together with KI in the TERMINET project, together being responsible for use case number 5. Team training in surgery using virtual reality over the Internet will be tested and evaluated.
